It really is time for an Administration to have the courage to stand up to Israel without the fear of losing the support of the American Jewish voter and to understand and make clear that there is a real distinction between being critical of the government of Israel and being anti semetic.

Sure they are cute, super cute even but at this point smoking has become such a no no that I doubt it will make a difference. Smoking isn't cool or edgy anymore its just gross and unhealthy. I used to smoke and now even I'm horrified when someone says they smoke. I think this might appeal to college girls or regular women who will have the occasional cigarette when they are drinking especially the ultra lights but I doubt anyone will start smoking just because its cute and girly. Gum companies should market cute girly pink purse packs like that, now that I'd buy.

<blockquote>"Other examples of mineral resources available for extraction in Afghanistan include gold, mercury, sulfur, chromite, talc-magnesite, potash, graphite and sand and gravel."</blockquote> There's a sand and gravel quarry just a few minutes' walk from where we live. We ourselves have sand and gravel under not very much topsoil. I wonder if we could sell it to the Afghans?

What a lot of people don't realize is that in impoverished countries, the sudden discovery of wealth can be a massive burden if left untamed. In a country like Afghanistan, this could be the case. The reason is because when wealth like this is discovered, often times thousands of people will start waging war to attain a piece of that wealth. It happens all the time over diamonds in various countries in Africa.

Obama seems great at creating a crisis when he needs one to pay off his lobbyists like with the stimulus package and healthcare plan, but when it comes to dealing with a real crisis, seems like he has no real ideas. Oh well. Hope no one's planning on going swimming this summer.
