In 1910 industrial corporations organized the American Manufacturers Export Association (AMEA); in 1912 these corporations, along with other business organizations, such as the American Asiatic Association (AAA), established the United States Chamber of Commerce

I ask again, weren't all the bonuses, awards dinners, advertising (read: propaganda), lobbyist fees and the like, taken out BEFORE the net profit was calculated? How much does Medicare spend on those (especially compared to your poor, bedraggled insurance companies)? Where are you getting your "facts" and figures from (like "Medicare is less efficient than the private sector")? Are you paid or compensated in some way by any of them to do this? Don't worry your little head, I detest PHRMA and the device manufacturers as much as the health insurance industry, but this isn't about THEM, is it? Should the common health of American citizens be profit driven? Should only the affluent have health care/insurance?

Elections are never fair because it comes down to who has the most money to put into it. I do think there are other ways to run though such as through the help of a Direct Response Agency.

Don't matter who sucks the most - Dems or GOPers. Only thing to do is VOTE. Not voting is directly remaining inactive and surrendering control to whoever. It is absolutely unbelievable that someone had the unmitigated gall to propose and then execute this strategy which is essentially a giant F*** you to the Latino community by advertising to the entire world that they think Latinos are stupid enough to fall for this. I am not even Latino and I am insulted by the hubris of such an act. But you know at this point I am getting so disgusted with humanity that I almost think if it does work then we all deserve what we get because we cannot be helped.

How likely is it that this election cycle will be fair? Who in their right mind would vote for ANY republican? Maybe if you have alzheimers and you have forgotten about the total breakdown of morality and ethical conduct the republicans are responsible for. Or if you forgot about the meltdown of economies worldwide that the republicans are responsible for. No only the rich and greedy, possibly the totally stupid, will be voting for republicans. If they win any elections anywhere it will be through fraud which they are very good at because nobody with a functioning brain would vote republican!
