Minnesota Pipeline Company (of the MinnCan Pipeline Project) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Koch Industries:
MinnCan is a $300 million dollar, 300-mile long trek through Minnesota from Clearbrook to Rosemount. For the first 100 miles, it matches an existing pipeline. In the last 200 miles, it runs through virgin countryside, completely ignoring an existing route and instead traversing 183 streams and rivers, 14 watersheds, and preempting the property of 1,300 landowners in 14 counties under eminent domain – 23 of them organic farmers. MPL and Koch call this their "Greenfield" route. The project also includes three new pumping stations, the most vulnerable aspect of any pipeline, subject to mismanagement, leaks and sabotage.
http://www.thepanelist.net/general-finance-10103/770--enbridge-koch-and-tar-sands-recovery-snatching-defeat-from-the-jaws-of-victory Anne Landman

Just don't forget that it is more damaging than tobacco smoke as far as lung cancer, and other respiratory diseases.

This is just out-and-out wrong! NIDA, whose primary mission is to only find out bad things, has un-funded more than a few studies because science was learning the truth which contradicted their fanatical dogma!

Here is but a brief smattering of links for your edification:

In fact NORML.org has an awesome collection of links to research. Just go to their search box and type in "lung." It should bring you to this page of search results:

There are MANY studies showing cannabis use through smoking DOES NOT lead to cancers.

Cannabis, aka marijuana, was outlawed solely due to racist hatred of Mexicans and blacks, and it was done AGAINST the advice of the sole representative of the AMA during the late night rush congressional hearing on the matter.

Everyone knows smoking is bad, gambling is bad, but it's still a freedom of choice. Just like I like trade forex, but the government wants to squeeze out all the small individual traders but tightening the laws. Too much control.

But I do agree, that at some point the goverment needs to step in and write the rules for most people, since not everyone is as educated and smart about things that happens around them.

You see, that's the problem....those who vote for a "different" party give up after only one election cycle.....Americans like that have no focus and no ability to "stick it out" when it comes to voting for their interests or conscience. "Instant" satisfaction is desired. That has to change. Nothing in this world is "free." You have to fight for what you believe is right. And, that means if you loose you at loose going down fighting in what you believe. Wake up!
