The common denominator in all of these [transmissible mink encephalopathy - TME] outbreaks was either “cattle” or “unknown.” It was possible, of course, to imagine other scenarios, but Marsh believed he had at least strong circumstantial evidence that a TSE similar to mad cow disease already existed in U.S. cattle. “You can trace it back to feed real easy in mink,” Marsh said. “And then you’re left with the question, what was it in the feed that affected them? And what we find is it’s these downer cows that are the common link. You don’t have to be a genius to figure it out.”

call me paranoid and/or cynical: Your comment "Govt is in an irrational panic mode. . ." I think is wrong. Our govt is keeping the public in a constant fear/panic mode to increase govt control over American citizens and spend lots of $$$$.

Scanners enhance security they say? Yeah, right, I'll believe that when we find an honest politician. The real reason these scanners are in place, and the reason they're not going away is not to enhance national security, but to get the public used to the routine. Just in the last day or so DHS has announced plans to place these scanners and pat downs at train and bus stations, and at ports of entry and exit for ships. They're training us to become used to the abuse and treatment so they can obtain enhanced control over us voters and taxpayers.

As a current student, I have never really trusted for profit schools. I find schooling to be something that is more about education than the money. Yes, even nonprofit schools are quick to grab your money, but they have other motivation to provide you with a quality education other than money.

I really can't see myself trusting a for-profit school with my money, and fraud and deception doesn't help their case.
